Job description

White Space Recruitment is delighted to be working exclusively for a niche client who specialise in the complete design and delivery of immersive and experiential permanent visitor attraction / exhibition spaces within large mixed-use schemes in the Middle East. We are urgently seeking an additional Interior Architect, Architect or Architectural Technologist with strong Vectorworks skills to work Part Time (minimum 3 days per week) or Full Time, 100% remotely from within the UK, and initially through to January 2026 with potential extensions.

These architectural design projects often incorporate large permanent structural installations and/or sets often incorporating huge amounts of technology and augmented reality that is typically found within visitor attractions, giant retail shopping centres, exhibition spaces, modern museums, and many other public spaces. Think Vegas, Harry Potter World, or the Imperial War Museum, The Science Museum etc. Lots of technology driven immersive and interactive experiences involving structures, sets, props, and a whole lot more.

The successful Interior Architect, Architect or Architectural Technologist will be tasked to work on all stages of the project incorporating interior and exterior schematic and detailed design. The requirement is to produce a range of 2D drawings set onto architectural sheets for submission and model the items in 3D so that at the end of the project, this client has an accurate working 3D model which would all be properly named, annotated, and drawn.

Interior Architects, Architects or Architectural Technologists applying should consider themselves to have a good understanding of standard architectural details, know how buildings are put together (appreciating the need for MEP, structural elements, and interior fitout junctions), and who are competent in producing technical drawings using Vectorworks.

Interior Architects, Architects or Architectural Technologists should be highly collaborative, able to work at pace remotely, and have proven experience/understanding of designing interior and/or exterior elements for medium-large spaces which might include dramatic interventions seen within hospitality, retail, airports, stations, mixed-use developments, visitor attractions, exhibition spaces and museum projects etc. Dramatic interventions might include a fancy staircase, a crazy lighting structure, giant integrated sculpture, cantilevered walkway, or artificial waterfall etc.

Interior Architects, Architects or Architectural Technologists applying should ideally be able to start this coming Monday 1st December or very soon after.

This position is 100% remote working from within the UK Monday to Friday and you will need to have your own reliable PC or Mac.
