A multi‑award winning architecture & interior design practice based in Leeds are looking for an Interiors Interior Design Technician. We work nationally across sectors including residential, workplace, hospitality, student living, mixed‑use, and higher education.
We are seeking a skilled Interiors CAD Technician with strong Revit experience to join our Leeds studio. The successful candidate will support the interiors/design/ architecture team by producing detailed Revit and CAD drawings, working through the technical stages of projects, coordinating with consultants, and helping maintain drawing standards. This role sits between design and technical delivery and requires attention to detail, proactivity, and a good understanding of interior design & architectural systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, model, and maintain interiors Revit models through stages
Generate accurate 2D (plans, sections, elevations, detail drawings, furniture/joinery, finishes, FF&E etc.) derived from the Revit model.
Produce detailed layout and technical drawing packages for interiors fit‑outs and refurbishments (offices, hospitality, residential amenity, etc.).
Coordinate with architects, interior designers, structural / MEP consultants to ensure technical coordination and clash detection where relevant.
Assist in preparing schedules (door, finishes, furniture/joinery), annotations, specifications tied to interior works.
Assist in maintaining / developing Revit family and template libraries specific to interiors (joinery, furniture, finishes components etc.), ensuring consistency and reusability.
Occasional site visits to monitor progress and resolve detailing and technical issues.
Skills, Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
Proven Revit experience, especially in interiors or architectural/fit‑out sectors.
Competent in producing detailed technical interiors drawings
Good knowledge of construction detailing, finishes, joinery, etc.
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and quality in drafting.
Ability to work with consultants and read/interpret structural, MEP, and architectural drawings.
Good communication skills, ability to work in a team but also manage own tasks.
Ability to organise tasks, manage time and meet deadlines; adapt to changing priorities.
Experience in furniture/joinery/FF&E scheduling.
Knowledge of building regulations relevant to interiors / refurbishment.
Knowledge of material finishes, lighting layout, etc.
