Job description

We are working with a well-established architecture and design practice based in West Sussex, which is looking for an Interior Designer to join their team. This position is for a Junior or Midweight designer who has experience within and a passion for the hospitality sector, to help work on projects both small and large.

The Role

•Support design development across hospitality projects.

•Produce presentations, mood boards, and technical drawing packages.

•Collaborate with the project team, consultants, and suppliers.

•Attend client meetings and conduct site visits as needed.

•Specify materials and FF&E, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

•Manage project deadlines and contribute to a positive team environment.

The Candidate

•A minimum of 5 years’ professional experience with a BA (Hons) or MA in Interior Architecture (or equivalent).

•A proven portfolio showcasing high-quality hospitality work, demonstrating both creative design and technical ability.

•Strong technical drawing skills, with proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop; hand-sketching skills are a bonus.

•Excellent design, presentation, conceptual thinking, and visualisation capabilities.

•Confidence working in a fast-paced environment and delivering to tight deadlines.

•Fluent written and spoken English, with clear and confident communication skills.

•A motivated, enthusiastic team player with a collaborative approach.

•Solid knowledge of materials and their applications, along with a good understanding of building regulations.

•On-site experience is advantageous but not essential
