Job description
We are working with an award-winning Architecture and Design practice who are based in the City of London. They cover a wide range of projects, with their focus being on the hospitality and aviation sectors. They are now looking to bring on another Project Controls Officer to their team after recently winning some big projects. In this role, you’ll be working alongside the senior members of the team to set up, administer and coordinate projects. The ideal candidate will be someone from an architecture background, with experience in project planning.
The Role
•Supporting project progress tracking and performance (time, cost, quality, scope, risk).
•Helping create and maintain project plans, schedules, and resource requirements.
•Comparing actual costs and timelines to estimates, identifying any discrepancies.
•Assisting with budgeting, scheduling, reporting, and performance monitoring.
•Identifying trends, risks, and issues in project performance and suggesting improvements.
•Leading planning sessions and workshops to set timelines and critical paths.
•Managing changes in project scope, cost, and schedules, and updating plans accordingly.
•Ensuring all client-facing documents meet quality standards.
•Preparing payment applications, invoices, and handling credit notes.
•Managing project-related changes and compensation events.
•Maintaining project data and summary reports.
•Using internal systems for document management, timesheets, and staff/project data.
•Coordinating with the accounts team, sub-consultants, and internal managers.
•Supporting audits and contributing to quality management processes.
•Organising and archiving project documents.

•Confident using Microsoft Excel.
•Basic understanding of project planning, with a willingness to learn tools like Primavera P6 and MS Project.
•Highly organized and able to meet deadlines.
•Experience in an architecture or design-focused environment is a plus.
