Job description
This award winning globally renowned Architecture, Interiors and Master Planning design practice is now seeking Senior Architects or Senior Architectural Designers with both creative flair and technical construction understanding, to provide project leadership and team management expertise on a new Middle Eastern Airport project requiring a ‘sleeves rolled up’ approach.
With over 100 employees, this practice offers a fun, inclusive and collaborative studio environment with exposure to large diverse teams where management are fully involved on all projects, there is no hierarchy, everyone has a voice, and they follow agile methods to deliver projects.
Successful Senior Architects and Senior Architectural Designers will be expected to support the Project Associates, showcasing your creative and innovative capability from previous experiences of working on large-scale and complex buildings, ideally including some airport exposure. Tasks will include imparting knowledge, inspiring, mentoring, leading and assisting teams working on concept design development and/or technical package delivery stages, with a ‘sleeves rolled up’ approach to working with Revit, Rhino, and Adobe Suite.
This Middle Eastern airport project requires design and package delivery of multiple elements to include external envelope, façade, roof, shell and core, structural interventions, interior fitout, retail spaces, lounges, ancillary areas, lobby’s, lifts, atrium spaces and more. Naturally this large and complex project demands Senior Architects and Senior Architectural Designers who are adaptable to change and can take ownership with pride, whilst working with minimum supervision; this is a fast-moving project that needs team members who can maintain consistency and ‘see the big picture’, without getting too stuck in one detail or being resistant to change.
Senior Architects and Senior Architectural Designers applying must have proven experience of leading other similar medium-large complex projects, have creative design flair and 3D spatial awareness, be capable of developing concept designs into workable technical packages, and have proven skills in producing construction fitout technical drawings/details using Revit, Rhino and Adobe Suite.
The initial fixed term contact duration is 6 months with the high possibility of extensions into the next phases of this project in 2026 paying either an FTC PAYE Pro-Rata Salary or a PAYE Hourly rate.
This client offers hybrid working typically 3 days in their East Central London office and 2 days from home working 37.5 - 40 Hours per week Monday to Friday.
