​Senior Interior Designer

A leading multidisciplinary design practice is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join its growing studio. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented designer to lead and deliver innovative interior design projects across a diverse portfolio including transport and infrastructure, commercial workplace, cultural, and education sectors.

The successful candidate will bring strong creative vision, technical expertise, and project leadership skills, managing projects from concept through to completion while collaborating closely with architects, consultants, and clients.

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will play a key role in shaping design concepts and delivering high-quality interior environments. You will lead projects, mentor junior team members, and contribute to the wider growth and success of the studio.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading interior design concepts from initial brief and mood boards through to detailed design and delivery

  • Developing cohesive interior strategies aligned with architectural vision and client objectives

  • Producing high-quality presentations, drawings, and visualisations

  • Managing client relationships and maintaining open, transparent communication with project teams

  • Preparing and reviewing technical drawing packages, specifications, schedules, and FF&E documentation

  • Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and suppliers

  • Ensuring design output aligns with technical standards, BIM processes, and sustainability goals

  • Supporting and mentoring junior designers within the studio

  • Contributing to business development, networking, and bid submissions

  • Minimum 5+ years’ professional experience in interior design within an architectural or multidisciplinary practice

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating concept design, technical detailing, and project delivery

  • Excellent space planning, material specification, and detailing skills

  • Experience leading or supporting projects through multiple design stages

  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, sustainability, and procurement processes

  • Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage timelines, budgets, and consultant coordination

  • A collaborative and proactive designer with a positive and solutions-focused mindset

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Passion for design quality, innovation, and sustainability in the built environment

  • Someone who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to studio culture
