Job description

This revered architecture studio is looking for adept Document Controllers to join a collaborative and close knit team during an exciting period of growth in the practice. As a practice, they seek to push themselves to improve the built environment creating a better world by providing a range of services including Architecture, Interior Design, Sustainability Consultancy, and many more. This practice boasts multiple office locations across the globe including branches within trendy central London and in the picturesque countryside of the South Downs.

These Document Controller roles are based in both the central London and Surrey offices and will be predominately office based, offering a degree of home working flexibility alongside a range of competitive lifestyle benefits.

This position will involve providing document control and project administration support in accordance with the Company Management System and will see you work closely with the wider design teams, producing documentation, issuing materials and processing incoming drawings and deliverables for the studio ensuring a consistent quality of work.

The ideal candidate for this position will have previous experience as a Document Controller within the architectural industry alongside confident communication skills and acute attention to detail. It is essential that you thrive within a team and can effectively communicate staff at all levels.

 As an overview, the main responsibilities for this position will include:

  • Assisting with Drawing & Deliverable Issues
  • Ensuring Quality Assurance of deliverables for issue, including correct adherence to agreed drawing numbering and revisions. 
  • Editing and illustrating documents
  • Assisting with the processing of incoming drawings and deliverables

The key skills and experiences required for this position are as follows:

  • Strong IT skills and experience using a range of software packages (Newforma, Asite and Aconex experience highly beneficial)
  • Analytical and logical approach with excellent organisational skills
  • Strong work ethic with ability to work calmly under pressure
  • Confident communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a creative team
