Talented Studio Director needed for central Glasgow architectural practice!

 

This community and people oriented architectural studio is looking for an experienced Studio Director to manage their Glasgow office located in the historic heart of the city. The firm has over 180+ staff across six offices throughout the UK and Ireland and look to improve lives and communities through the built environment. They work in a variety of sectors, focusing mainly on Commercial, Residential, Education, Healthcare, Hospitality, Public and Defence. They also operate in a variety of areas in the built environment including Architecture, Sustainability, Interiors, Landscape and Masterplanning projects. The firm has also gained a consistent track record of industry awards over the 50+ years they have been practicing and are always looking to improve their work through imaginative collaboration and innovation.

This position would involve maintaining an inspired, engaged, and responsive team capable of delivering project opportunities and other initiatives. Working alongside the Studio Executive, you would help to promote a safe and healthy working environment for all staff and provide visible leadership within the studio. You would also be actively involved in projects to drive continuous improvement and imbed within the studio the wider values of the firm. 

The main responsibilities of this role are as follows:

  • Improve annual revenue stream through consistent business development initiatives
  • Drive quality design and delivery that meets the needs of our clients and strengthens the firm’s brand
  • Strengthen the studio’s profile through events, PR, social media and awards
  • Manage any risk posed to the studio
  • Sustain employee engagement and enhance team effectiveness

The key skills you must demonstrate to be considered for this role are as follows:

  • Have 5+ years senior experiences in an architectural capacity
  • 10 + years working in architecture
  • A relevant degree or equivalent qualification

The role is a full-time permanent position and the salary is £75 - £85,000  pa (DOE) paired with a variety of benefits such as social events, agile working and a comprehensive Lifestyle Package tailored to each member of staff including pensions, cycle to work schemes and various other rewards.
