Are you an experienced Talented Part 2 Assistant looking for a new role in Sussex?

One of my favourite clients in Sussex are wanting to add a talented Part 2 Assistant to their team. You will have the opportunity to work on a range of residential and mixed-use projects varying in size and complexity. This is a permanent role starting asap.

I have worked with this firm for 9 years and placed 7 people into various roles including a Senior Technician and a Senior Architect. They are without doubt one of the leading practices in Sussex and have won multiple awards for their work. For over 20 years they have built a solid and trusted and strong reputation for delivering innovative and sustainable designs.This AJ100 practice focus onprojects across various sectors from residential to commercial to education and masterplanning on project values up to £50 million. With schemes being awarded across the UK and Europe they are leading the way within architecture and showcasing their versatility and expertise within the industry. The feedback from previous placements have been very positive with 3 of my candidates having recently been promoted to Senior and Associate levels proving they are focused on developing in house talent and rewarding hard work. If I was an architectural professional, I would definitely want to work here!

They encourage regular seminars, courses, qualifications and regularly take their staff for city break team building trips. Hybrid working days are allowed in addition to flexibility around core hours.

About you

As a Part 2 Architectural Assistant at,. you will have the opportunity to contribute to various stages of the design and construction process.

  • Assisting Senior members of the team in the development of design concepts and presentations.

  • Conducting research and preparing drawings and models to communicate design ideas effectively.

  • Collaborating with consultants, contractors, and clients to ensure the smooth execution of projects.

  • Assisting in the production of detailed technical drawings and specifications.

  • Participating in site visits and construction inspections to gain practical experience.

  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Have completed your Masters in Architecture from an accredited institution.

  • Have 1+ year UK practice experience working on medium to large scale projects (preferably educational).

  • Proficiency in industry-standard software, such as AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.

  • A working knowledge of Revit is essential for this role.

  • Strong conceptual and design skills, with the ability to think creatively and critically.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with team members and clients.

  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

  • A keen interest in sustainable design and a desire to contribute to the creation of environmentally conscious buildings.

  • A portfolio demonstrating your design abilities and technical skills.
