Job description
Senior Interior Designer responsibilities include coordinating the internal design team for a project as well as preparing and developing drawings, models, images, and materials related to the design. Other duties include running the design project on time and budget, and making decisions in the best interest of the client and project without letting personal preferences influence your choices. You are expected to comply with company procedures and standards, liaise with the external design team and other organisations as needed, and continue your professional development to stay on the cutting edge of design trends.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
The role is to understand the design project, prepare, and develop ideas/design from client brief through to implementation with the team, where required, drawings, models, images, material & mood boards, and other documents relating to the design.
• This can involve the design of interior or exterior spaces, including layout options, finishes, custom joinery, and details, as well as specifying furniture and accessories for each project.
• Able to deal with the management of Junior & Intermediate designers on the team.
• Good interpersonal skills and able to work independently and as part of an effective team.

• To take responsibility for the development of the design and the project with input from the Associate Partner or Partner in charge for key project stages
• To liaise, where appropriate, with members of the external design team and other associated organisations or companies
• To seek continuing professional development

SKILLS JOB SPECIFICATION AND PROFESSIONAL
• Must have 7- 10 years of vast experience working on retail, Commercial, F&B and Hospitality projects with a top-tier consultancy and must be based in Dubai.
• Have an industry-recognised diploma or degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture.
• Able to use some of the following: MicroStation, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Internet Explorer, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.
• Understanding of financial aspects of running a design project on time and on budget.
• Able to understand and formulate design decisions and present for discussion.
• Able to integrate design requirements with architecture.
• Able to use a variety of media in the development and documentation of a design project.
• Able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
• Able to take initiative in response to direction or instruction.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Understanding of the designer’s role in the coordination and integration of project information and management
• Able to deal with the management of junior & intermediate designers on the team
