Job description

An award-winning multi-disciplinary practice is looking for a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer for their Interiors’ team in their West London studio.

This practice offer design services from concept through to technical design and works on site. They focus on residentially-led projects and are one of the leading specialists in the coliving and B2R sectors.

Working closely with Architects and wider design teams, they design interiors that complement the architectural design and exceed client expectations.

The successful candidate must have an interest in residential interiors and already have a working knowledge of the different design stages. Experience of designing communal amenity space is essential and understanding operational requirements in parallel to the look and feel.

Summary of main responsibilities:

·         Responsible for the day to day running of projects within the parameters agreed by the Director

·         Lead the design process in parallel with architectural teams where applicable

·         Lead design reviews for interior projects

·         Represents the practice at external meetings as requested by Directors

·         Coordinates with suppliers as required

·         Coach and train team members

·         Provides professional support and mentoring to the team

·         Demonstrates competent design and/or delivery skills

·         Oversees the production of CGI’s, imagery, sketches and models to communicate and present ideas

·         Manages the day to day budget for aspects of the projects for which they are responsible

Candidates must have the following qualifications, experience and skills:

·         2+ years’ experience in a senior interior design role

·         Interior Design degree level qualification

·         Proficient user of CAD (preferably VectorWorks or Revit)

·         Proficient in Sketchup, InDesign, Photoshop & Microsoft Office

·         An eye for sketching would be advantageous

·         Highly organised with a flair for design and creativity

·         Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·         Works well in a small team
