Job description

White Space is excited to be working with an established Berkshire based architectural practice that is growing from strength to strength even during this rather challenging time! They specialises in the care accommodation residential sector and for over 20 years have been a market leader in their chosen specialist sector. Due to an increase in workload they are urgently seeking a Revit literate Architectural Technologist to join their friendly experienced team and take on a key role within the practice within their technical department.

Duties & responsibilities include:-

  • Monitor quality, costs and deadlines throughout the construction process
  • Closely manage and oversee the technical stages of the project(s) - some job running responsibilities
  • Responsibility for the client and their project portfolio
  • Oversee, mentor/guide & train members of the project team
  • Assist the business with the BIM strategy plan
  • Liaise with external members of the wider design team
  • Prepare and present design proposals using BIM, CAD & traditional methods
  • Visit all sites while keeping a close eye on any issues that may arise
  • Liaise with local planning, building control departments and other statutory bodies involved with all projects
  • Attend regular site meetings with clients, contractors and other specialists involved
  • Contribute to the overall running of the business
Skills & experience required:-
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years' professional experience
  • Full member of the CIAT - be a Chartered Architectural Technologist (desirable)
  • Preferably possess experience within the care sector (desirable)
  • Experience working within a close-knit project team
  • Knowledge of the CDM regulations
  • Be AutoCAD and Revit literate
  • Knowledge of NBS Specification Manager
  • Have good project management and organisation skills
