Job description

This design focused studio based in south west London is urgently seeking a Project Architect to take a leading role in the delivery of their private residential projects.

The Studio 

Based in a beautiful live/work studio in south west London they are seriously bucking the trend with their workload! As a studio they work on a truly awesome mix of projects from major transport developments through to beautifully crafted one-off residential schemes! Although they are a small studio they apply large practice knowledge and experience to every live project that they work on. They thrive on a collaborative and supportive environment which is reflected in the studio’s project output. The two founding directors are super-talented with an international practice background having worked for some high profile practices during their stellar careers!

The Role

You will be tasked with leading the team in the development of residential schemes from concept through to construction. You’ll also be managing and overseeing the client, contractor and consultant team throughout all the stages. This will be a key role in the practice as it moves forward specifically in the private residential sector within the UK and internationally.

You 

Thorough, thoughtful and experienced in the delivery of one-off residential projects is what they’re looking for. You will have an eye for detail, take pride in everything you do, be well organised and have a real passion. Oh, and be a fabulous communicator as well!

Ideally you will have the following:-

  • 5yrs+ post Part III experience

  • Demonstrable experience in residential projects throughout RIBA stages 0-6

  • True leadership skills and proven exposure in coordinating consultants 

  • Previous experience in conservation including Listed Building projects

  • Familiarity with Passiv Haus design

  • Passionate about using a variety of materials and bespoke detailing

  • Extensive knowledge of the UK planning process and building regulations

  • Exceptional Client facing skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the Contractor

  • High Revit literacy

  • Strong presentation skills; hand drawing and oral

  • A keenness to grow!
