Job Description

This respected construction group is seeking an architect to manage their varied residential portfolio of projects. They have been growing for over 15 years and have multiple companies in the group each dealing with a different element of construction. This role would allow you to work will all facets of the business as the Principal Architect and have a real impact on the business as it grows further.

This role would involve being responsible for the design teams and architects who are producing the plans / structural designs for the company whilst protecting and promoting an excellent standard of work. Further to this you would also solicit opportunities for work and help to manage customer relations. In this role there are many opportunities to develop the business with the ability to fully manage the team and the direction it takes improving processes and hiring new staff.

The main responsibilities for this role are:

  • Acting as the company’s Principal Architect in control and management of all the architectural work pursuant to section 20(3) Architects Act 1997
  • Nurturing and developing the architectural facets of the company
  • Managing all won work by allocating tasks to various staff and contractors
  • Production of plans and site surveys
  • Hiring of new architectural staff

The key experiences required for this role are as follows:

  • 5+ years post qualification
  • ARB registered
  • Evidence of small/medium scale residential experience

This role would ideally suit someone who has previously ran their own small practice or worked in freelance position. The role is fully remote with a few meetings with the directors as necessary and around 5 site visits into London a month which will be covered by the company.  The salary for this position is around £50,000 per annum (DOE) so if this sounds like the perfect step up in your career, please do not hesitate to apply below.
