Job description

White Space is delighted to be partnering with this up and coming, forward-thinking and design focused practice. We are seeking an accomplished Project Architect with a proven ability to take projects all the way through from concept to completion.  Based in a really cool co-working office space, this 6 strong growing practice work in a really collaborative way.  Design is at the forefront of their mind and currently they have 23 live projects (mostly housing, social housing and urban realm) on their books at various stages from concept to being on-site.  Having sat in one of their design review meetings, we have seen at first hand how they work as an effective team with everybody inputting into design.  It's not just all about design either as they also have several completed projects under their belt.  The owner of the practice and the Senior Architect really care about their team and make an effort to support everybody within the practice, without being too domineering.  People have a voice there.

Due to their busy workload and stability, they need somebody to come in as a Project Architect who can effectively work at the same level as the two senior people (including the principal) in the office.  This person will have UK housing experience, creative flair, be able to run projects and skillfully deal with clients.  Vectorworks would be a big bonus, but this is by no means essential.  This a is a chance to be part of the management structure of the office and be close to all the strategic decision making, as well as being able to make a tangible difference to an exciting practice on the up.
