The ideal candidate will be someone with around 2 years of experience in an HR role within the building sector, who is keen to learn and progress within their HR Career.

The Role

  • Provide general admin support across all HR areas, including recruitment, onboarding, training, employee support, and leavers.

  • Keep employee records up to date and accurate, following data protection (GDPR) rules.

  • Help manage the recruitment process: post job ads, arrange interviews, and communicate with candidates and hiring teams.

  • Support new joiners by preparing contracts, booking inductions, and checking right-to-work documents.

  • Assist with training and development activities, keeping track of attendance and feedback.

  • Help run wellbeing and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) programmes and events.

  • Prepare letters and documents for things like promotions, contract changes, and other staff updates.

  • Track key HR data (e.g., absence, staff turnover, training) and create reports for managers.

  • Keep HR processes and templates up to date and look for ways to improve them.

  • Be a friendly, helpful point of contact for staff, passing on more complex queries when needed.

The Person

  • Previous experience in an HR admin or coordinator role, ideally in a creative, professional services, or design-focused company.

  • Strong admin and organisational skills, with great attention to detail.

  • Good understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.

  • Confident using HR software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Able to handle sensitive information with care and professionalism.

  • Friendly, proactive, and a good team player.

  • Genuinely interested in people, wellbeing, and workplace culture

  • Experience working in an architecture or design studio.

  • Awareness of diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), and sustainability initiatives at work.
