Job description

White Space has just been appointed to recruit a Project Manager for this busy architectural practice based in Essex. The main purpose of this role will be to assist the Directors in the programming and coordination of workload for various projects being undertaken by the teams in the office. You will ensure that the information sent out is to a high standard and is 100% compliant with regards to quality, cost and time.

The Role:
  • Project Manager
  • Overseeing the production of working drawing packages and managing a team
  • Project coordination
  • Attend, as required, internal team meetings in order to review progress
  • Liaise with Directors to produce and regularly update programme of current workload
  • Obtain NHBC and LA approval to both new and revised standard house types, and all relevant working drawing information
  • Liaise with all external consultants and relevant bodies
  • Organise and coordinate any revisions required to house types/drawing information
  • Coach and mentor team members
  • Manage staff performance
  • Long term career opportunity; with genuine potential to lead into an Associate role within the practice
The Person:
  • Senior Architectural Technician / Team Leader
  • Extensive knowledge of the UK Building Regulations and NHBC Standards
  • Substantial drawing experience within an architectural practice and/or Developer, predominantly in house building
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
  • Ability to supervise technical staff of differing levels & experience
  • Previous residential developer project experience would be an advantage
  • Strong technical skills and ability to lead/guide more junior members of staff
