Studio Manager (Maternity Cover)

An international interior architecture and design studio is looking for an experienced and confident part time Studio Manager for Maternity Cover, to join it’s team based in Marylebone, London on a 6 month contract.

This is a dynamic studio which prides itself on being easy to work with, with excellent attention to detail, delivering interiors finished to the highest quality and sophisticated elegant design.

The successful applicant will be responsible for leading the administrative side of the studio, including practice/financial management, premises management and administrative support. This role will need to be based remotely and then in our office in Marylebone once restrictions are lifted. You will need to be highly organised and always demonstrating initiative to keep the studio running as smoothly as possible.

The role is varied, and daily tasks include:

Practice/financial management 

Day-to-day overview of all office systems/protocols, liaising with accountants, bank reconciliation, preparing and keeping track of all project client invoicing, liaising with clients to request POs, paying all project & office supplier invoices, filing, working with and supporting the management team.

Premises management 

Ensuring all clients and visitors are warmly welcomed.

Managing the running of the office, keeping the office tidy, managing requirements for important meetings, ordering office/equipment supplies when needed, liaising with landlord, office suppliers, IT provider and cleaner.

Administration support 

Answering the phone, dealing with post/phone & email enquiries/deliveries, database management, courier/travel bookings, management of all IT and office subscriptions and insurances, overseeing staff leave/sickness requests, staff expenses, birthdays, and staff events.

Skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Microsoft applications
  • At least 5 years’ experience in similar role and industry
  • Be reliable and self-directed, able to follow through and complete tasks to a high standard
  • Friendly and approachable
  • Flexibility/team player – a willingness to use their own initiative
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Organised and able to work to their own deadlines
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

The job is a 3-day part time maternity cover. Salary will be determined by a candidate’s individual experience.
